Upper level deck wraps around courtyard and side of house with views of hedgerow and ocean with exterior dining furnishings. One guest BR with queen bed and window seat, w/BA with single sink, tub/shower combination is on upper level. One lower level BR w/King and window seat, double sinks, soaking tub and walk in shower. One lower level BR w/Queen and window seat, double sinks and a walk in shower. Window seats in every room for additional sleeping. Central heat with a real wood burning fireplace in the living room. Approximately 2300 sq ft. Spacious, open and light filled environment. Beds made with linens and towels are included in the price of this house. Free wireless internet. One dog only is welcome.   We stayed at Galleon's Reach for 5 nights. It is on the Southern end of Sea Ranch. While it was a little inconvenient for the grocery stores and golf course, it opened up lots of new experiences, like a visit to Fort Ross and 2-Fish Bakery. Overall the home was lovely. The living room had lots of couches so everyone could watch TV at once in the evening. The kitchen was very well stocked. The master bedroom and bathroom are especially beautiful. Our only concern was that some of the windows wouldn't open and close properly. Once you got them open, it was very difficult to get them closed. You don't want to open them very far or you have to take off the screen to manually pull the window back in as you crank the handle. As long as you keep the windows open only a little bit, like about 4-6 inches, it was easier, but still problematic for some of the windows (like the window in the upstairs bedroom). Also, not enough of the windows have screens and can be opened. It was a very small and very minor inconvenience, and we would definitely stay at Galleon's Reach again!

  This is a perfect home for 3 couples. Lots of common space but also room for privacy. Great location for walks or hikes. Quick walk to walk on beach or Sea Ranch Lodge.
  Some windows and doors are in need of maintenance...salt water moisture damage made them difficult to open and close.
  Also a thorough dusting including track lighting and cobwebs in order. But very clean otherwise.
  Kitchen was amazingly well appointed but surprisingly no tea kettle for our tea lovers. These are very small issues in an extraordinary house. We would choose it again.

  This is the third time we have stayed at Galleon's Reach and each time the home is perfect. Super clean, well stocked including tons of wood for the fire. Endless views of a wild and beautiful sea. Great walks and trails. Rabbits, deer, quail, and other creatures walking past the house in clear view. Perfect house for one couple upstairs and another downstairs for ultimate privacy. Every room as a view. We were ecstatic that The Sea Ranch Lodge was open for dining. We enjoyed an incredible lunch outside on the deck overlooking the ocean. Took a beautiful walk through the Gualala Point Regional Park. Spectacular view. Easy walk for young and old.

  Overall we had a nice stay at this beautiful home. Loved the layout of the home and it was nice to have a bathroom next to each bedroom. The only thing was our bbq wasn't working properly. We really enjoyed the window seats - there were 5 of them - also one in every room. It would of been nice to access trails from the meadow, but not a big deal, we had to go down street to entrance. we had exceptional weather!

  Most screens were off the windows- not sure if this was for better viewing of the views or if they are in the middle of replacing them. I would endorse adding screens- for safety (for example- on the window seat areas) as well as for blocking flying insects....great to be able to open the windows and hear the ocean- but flying intruders, not so welcome....)
  
  Needs a blue recycling can. I brought home our recyclables. Seems that such an environmentally aware community as the Sea Ranch would have recycling de rigueur at all homes.
  
  Living Room is great for gathering to read and chat and watching TV and the fireplace...the large couch looks more comfy than it actually seems to be- but lots of cushions do help with that. The small couch is a pull out- so that "feel" makes sense....
  
  The Specialty Side of the Coffee Pot System needs a look see- or a repair?
  
  Also: towel situation- could be a bit more generous with the provided towels- one extra set would be nice. Towels were brown- from a hospitality standpoint, I prefer beige or white for cleanliness issues and ease of hot water cleaning vs colored versions.

  It was our first time in Sea Ranch and we had a great time! The house was perfect for our family. There were 7of us......youngest was 16. Plenty of space and beautiful view of the ocean from all parts of the house! The beds were comfy, we loved all the window seats to sit and relax, having a BBQ was nice and so was the hot tub! It was super quiet and relaxing! You could hear the ocean when you opened the windows. Great access to walking paths and we were able to bring our dog which was great!!! They even left a little treat for my dog! We do have two complaints..... one of the downstairs bedrooms does not have window coverings and it should. Obviously you don't want to block your view of the ocean but privacy was an issue in that bedroom not to mention the bright sun shining in the morning. All the other bedrooms have window coverings so it's odd the one bedroom does not. I recall other reviews commenting on the same thing. Second complaint is they need new towels.....they are faded and a bit worn and had an odor to them. Next time I will bring my own towels. Overall we would stay there again! This may be an annual event!!!

  We had a wonderful 5 days at Galleon's Reach. A beautiful home and we were so grateful to bring our dogs with us. (One dog allowed but we were able to bring 2 with insurance added.) The house is spacious and beautifully furnished. Kitchen very well equipped and beautiful bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. The dogs particularly enjoyed sitting on the window seats and looking out. Private secure courtyard and a fabulous hot tub completed our experience. Right next to the ocean and plenty of great trails for walking.

  This is a gorgeous well designed home in the original feel of Sea Ranch. Spectacular views abound. We have stayed at SR over 40 times, and this was by far the most spectacular home we have rented. Also it was wonderful for us to be able to bring our 2 dogs along with us for the trip. Understand that this is a pricey rental but if you can afford the price go for it. You will not be disappointed. Make sure to book a meal at St. Orres. Again.. Pricey but worth it. Enjoy the the challenge of the Sea Ranch golf. Play early to avoid the afternoon wind. Above all just enjoy either walking or running the miles and miles of trails along the bluffs, in the forest and everywhere in between. Just push the button and book now.

  91 Galleon's Reach was absolutely perfect for our family over Thanksgiving. It is a very well equipped and spacious house. The kitchen is incredible for preparing meals. The great room with wood burning fireplace is roomy and comfy and the window seats were a hit to take in the beautiful white water views of the beach.   WOW! My partner and I first went to Sea Ranch for vacation almost exactly a year ago after doing some research and we instantly fell in love. This was our third time going and we try to change houses every time we come. Each time just gets better than the last; this house was by far my favorite! Location is AMAZING: close to the trail, AMAZING VIEWS, wildlife literally in the backyard (a safe distance away haha). I could hear the waves crash, windows seats are ABUNDANT in this house, the master bathroom is INSANE, the kitchen has everything you need and more, the list goes on and on and on. There were only a few things I thought could be improved: 1) It would have been nice to have shades in the other bedroom, 2) the hot tub wasn't all that clean so we ended up not using it (which was a huge bummer, but the bathtub in the master bathroom somewhat made up for it), and 3) wifi was a bit iffy (but it wasn't too big of a deal). Overall however, the positives just overwhelms the negatives. There were telescopes, games, books, movies, etc. I just can't say enough! Beautifully designed and situated. Will DEFINITELY consider this rental again!

  Galleon's Reach was great! My family (5 of us total) had plenty of space and amazing views. The kitchen was the best part, I'm local so I brought a few appliances with me, but didn't need too! There was a rice cooker, blender, and a great coffee machine. The house was very easy to find (great directions) and it was incredibly clean. One thing to note, I have elderly parents, and they had to walk up a very short flight of steps to get to the living room/kitchen area. If we do this again, I'd probably pick a house that is more ranch style to avoid the stairs. It was very relaxing, I can't wait to get back there!

  We've been visiting Sea Ranch for over 20 yrs. We're picky about which unit we like to stay, the architecture of the house, how it's sited, etc. Galleon's Reach was one of the best. It's a gracious house, well built, and well thought out - a sleeper from the outside, inside's another story. Lots of thought went into its design. Reverse floor plan, ocean views (and sound) from everywhere. Houses are nearby, but there's no lack of privacy. Every room felt great to be in. Came up during baseball playoffs and couldn't get the Giants on the Dish package. Both Beach Rentals and the homeowners were incredibly responsive and kind. We were watching within hours. Thank you! We didn't want to leave and plan on coming again.

  The house is beautifully presented and very comfortable.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to re-visit again. Beds are super comfortable, and linens of great quality. If I had one minor complaint, it would be that the showers/water pressure isn't great, but this seems often to be the case in the USA.
  
  Rental/management staff were very helpful.
  
  If it wasn't 5.5k miles or 15+ hours from home, I'd probaly rent this property twice a year. Enjoy.

  We had an amazing stay in Galleon's Reach. Beautiful weather, we sited Grey Whales migrating and we had perfect kite wind speed. The Beach Rentals Company was so helpful and went out of their way to help us. We will rent through them again. Every single person we encountered was friendly, knowledgable and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Sea Ranch is just a beautiful inspirting place and Galleon's Reach allows you to soak it right in!
  A few tiny concerns: The hot tub's heat indicater has weathered away. It was cold when we arrived and hotter than the face of the sun by the next morning. I do hope they put some specific instructions for future guests. Secondly and again we are on the only complaints I could muster...I wish they had a sparkling wine stopper and an oyster shucker. If you are even slightly on the fence the answer is YES it is totally worth it and you WILL be blown away.

  Stayed for a week with my mother, husband and daughter for our second year in a row. The house is lovely for a family trip. 2 downstairs bedrooms have a lot of privacy with their own bathrooms and TVs, hot tub area is one of the best I've seen at Sea Ranch with a nice sliding barndoor-style opening that gives you a view of the ocean, and a pretty garden and fenced in deck area to enjoy. Only (tiny) complaint is that the grill is in the garage so we had to run back and forth while cooking. Deck off the kitchen offered lovely sunset view dinners. The house looks like a hotel but delightfully has a bunch of kids' toys hidden away in drawers and in the den, so it's actually a surprisingly good space to stay with children. There are a handful of great hikes/strolls accessible right from the house. We will definitely return.
