  We have been visiting Sea Ranch for nearly 30 years and have stayed in many different rental homes. The Monette has without question the most beautiful view - just spectacular!! It is also one of the more expensive homes we have stayed in, so we were a little disappointed that the kitchen wasn't better appointed and equipped (ie. only one beater on the hand mixer, mismatched flatware with only 3 teaspoons, poor quality cookware...)Also, the house is showing it's age in some places - bathroom fans that don't work, stained tile grout around toilets and rusted exterior handrail hardware (a safety hazard..)All in all though,very enjoyable - just needs a little minor upgrading.

  Built right on the Sea Ranch Bluff the views from this house are spectacular through huge floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, really views from most the rooms. Very clean house with nice modernity feel to your peaceful stay.

  The house is lovely and equipped with everything one might want (hot tub, washer/dryer, dvd, jacuzzi, etc.), but many Sea Ranch houses are comparably designed and equipped. What is incomparable is the view: in the living room (which has a majestic, high-arched ceiling), a 25-foot wide (at a guess) picture-window, sweeping, white water panorama of of the surf rolling into Black Point Beach and the same view (through somewhat smaller windows) in every room in the house. Sunset on the deck with wine and the sound of surf stays with one forever.

  It keeps asking me for this, even though I already posted. I loved the Seven Blue Mile and Monette properties- both in their own ways. The former is newer while the latter has even more magnificent views. Both were extremely tasteful and provided every convenience. The people at Beach Rentals were probably the best management team I've ever dealt with. They were extremely accommodating and made my Sea Ranch experience the absolute highlight of my extensive California Coast tour. Really can't wait to go back. Thank you so much, Patty!

  The Monette House is a gem. The view and layout amazing - well-stocked kitchen, beautiful nature and trails outside the door, a wonderful deck where you can watch the ocean or the stars - EXCEPT there are no chairs. Only thing I wished for each and everyday
  were two wooden adirondack chairs in which to read and lounge. If owners would add those - it would be 100% perfect. I would be happy to bring them in and out every day from the garage even - if wear and tear is the issue!

  Very comfortable and spacious which lends itself to moments of privacy and peace. Close enough to Sea Ranch Lodge that an afternoon stroll, sip of libations at SRL and a stroll back set us up for a wonderful evening. Will definitely revisit some day.

  We stayed with 2 other couples so the cost was well worth the incredible view . Of course we stayed in the Master so we were particularly pleased. The only two quibbles would be the hot tub is inside of a glassed in room and the kitchen is a little small. But other than that wonderful...especially at sunset when most Sea Ranch places look straight into the west and setting sun this view looks south onto the beach ...gorgeous.

  The rating of 4 on the cleanliness had to do with the pots, pans and serving dishes, not all 100% clean, so we washed each item before use. Our friends forgot their bedding and towels, and Beach Rentals easily accommodated them for a nominal fee. We will gladly stay and use Beach Rentals again for our next vacation.

  It truly was wonderful. We picked up seriously jet lagged family at SFO and drove straight to Gualala where we all rested and took in the amazing vistas both from inside the house and along many beautiful trails. To visit the Monette is to appreciate it and its surroundings.

  This property is spectacular mainly because of its location and the expansive views from every room. It is not for old people who can't navigate steps for it is very multi-level with steps everywhere. There were a lot more supplies than the general list indicates and more appliances and staples in the kitchen. Large new TVs in two bedrooms and the living room. Outside windows washed every week.
  
  Maybe next the owner will upgrade the ineffective dishwasher and the worn-out living room chairs. The house has been decorated with great care and generally it is a work of art with only a few areas not equal to the rest.
  
  While I might quibble about these details and the dirty bathroom grout, we would return in a heartbeat. I am sure it will be in better condition by the time you arrive!
