Unit 7 Block 5 Lot 13 TOT ID#: 2246 … Family and friends will love staying at Tranquility Base in the Sea Ranch. This spacious vacation home is built with a reverse floor plan - common living space upstairs and bedrooms downstairs all with deck access to hot tub. Beautiful ocean views are visible throughout the house. There is a bluff trail directly accessible from the back yard and additional beaches are just down the highway. Tranquility Base has 3 bedrooms each with its own private bathroom with an extra half bath upstairs making it ideal for up to 6 guests.

The upstairs living room is arranged with plenty of seating options with couch, love seats and ample window seats. A gas fireplace is available perfect for setting a cozy atmosphere at night. There is a 75" flat screen TV for your upstairs viewing as well, with a Blu-Ray DVD player and WIFI access. The kitchen is equipped with a 5-burner gas stove and double oven. Dining areas both inside and out have seating for six. A propane BBQ grill is also available.

BED LINENS AND TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS RENTAL.

Garage is not available to renters.

One small dog is welcome! (25 pounds or less)

  Tranquility Base is our favorite home at Sea Ranch. It’s the perfect size for our family. We love the lower level bedrooms because they all have great outdoor light, separate baths and decks. The upper level has so many window seats that there is no arguing and the view is nice. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of seating. The owners green thumb is apparent in the lovely potted plants. The artwork is fun and varied. Love everything!

  Hey Folks,
  
  The house was great overall. The space was perfect for us and we are hoping we can book it again next year. I want to bring a few things to your attention.
  
  1. The double ovens need to be looked at by a technician. The temperature readings on both ovens thermometers are considerably (50-100F) different from the reading on the thermometers in the oven. We also experienced several times where one of the ovens showed an "err" (error) message. We resolved it by turning the oven off and then back on. The ovens are also dirty and could benefit from a good cleaning.
  
  3. The variety of kitchenware is great and we appreciate having access to it. However, a lot of items were dirty when we went to use them and needed to be (re)washed.
  
  4. There were extra blankets and those were great but some smelled and had brown stains and had to be washed.
  
  Here are a few additional items that weren't a problem, but wanted to make you aware of:
  
  5. One of the bedroom [room next to kids room] carpets had a few large discoloration stains when we arrived.
  
  6. Deck door from the "kids" room (the one with the queen bed, on the left) does not lock.
  
  7. Skylight in upstairs office is broken and has wet napkin in place to keep it open.

  The house was all in order when we arrived. We did have 2 issues with appliances. The ice maker was not working. There were ice trays in the freezer, so we thought maybe it was permanently disabled. We removed the ice container an found the inside to be frozen with solid ice. We defrosted in the sink and reinstalled it with no further problems. The bottom oven, on the otherhand, was not working properly. The oven does not operate according to the setting. I put on bread proof to raise some dough, and the temp rose to 350 F, thus ruining the dough.
  Other than those 2 issues, we had a great time with family and friends coming and going during our extended visit.

  House was very nice and roomy for two couples. One of the nicest properties allowing dogs that we have stayed at. Beautiful view from deck off kitchen, alas the lot next door has stakes and we assume the view will be impacted when a house is built.

  We had a great 4-night stay at Tranquility Base. The house seems much more spacious than the online pictures suggest. The location is marvelous. Private, quiet, but with easy access to trails. We had 2 minor difficulties which we notified rental company about and they were very responsive to try and remedy. I would highly recommend a stay here.

  We brought our two adult children and their partners for a lovely 4 day break from reality! The home was perfect for 3 couples, each room had its own bathroom and access to the deck. It was a short walk to the coast and from there a walk in either direction yielded gorgeous views. We loved sitting on the patio with our breakfast each morning and looking at the changing scenery (complete with deer!). The home is beautiful and well-maintained, with every convenience imaginable. We had some lovely dinners, even took advantage of the provided fondue pot. The kitchen easily surpassed all of our previous rental homes. Would definitely return!!!

  I have stayed at Tranquility Base in the past. It is probably my favorite Sea Ranch House. It is a perfect set up for a girls’ retreat with three bedrooms, each with its own attached bathroom. While I didn’t bring my dog this time, it is a wonderful place to bring your furry friend with a doggie door giving easy access to an enclosed yard. The kitchen is well equipped with quality cookware. I will come back again.

  We really enjoyed this property. The kitchen was fantastic, the views were great and having the bedrooms on the lower floor ensure that they remained nice and cool. We had 4 adults and 1 old dog with us. the Property felt very safe, and the general condition was exactly what we were looking for. We were very satisfied (5+ all around)) and will probably rent this house again in the future. I LOVED the fact that the house was spotless, and the many small details such as a towel for our dog to clean his paws when coming back inside.

  We have been vacationing annually in various Sea Ranch homes for more than 30 years. The ocean view from this lovely home was spectacular. The home was well-appointed, clean, and spacious inside. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and beds are very comfortable. The ocean-facing upper-level deck was perfect for watching whales...and amazing sunsets. Everyone at Beach Rentals (our rental agency) was friendly, responsive, and accommodating. We will definitely come back to this home.

  Overall the house was nice and in a good location. It was roomy for 3 couples. However, there were several things that should be improved.... We found it strange that there was no stereo system and also that the big screen TV was located in the master bedroom and not in the living room. There were only a few channels to choose from in the living room while the couple in the master bedroom had many more. Also, the middle bathroom shower had a slow drain issue. The couple staying in that room had to stand in several inches of water to shower. The big refrigerator in the kitchen was broken. A much smaller one had been brought in to suffice. It was tight to fit in food for 3 couples for a week in that one. And our last complaint....the smoke alarm kept going off for no reason at all. It was very loud and disturbing. Thinking it might need a new battery?

  This was the first time we had been to Sea Ranch and did not know what to expect (other than a very twisty Highway 1). When I booked on the phone and explained what I was looking for (dog friendly, close hikes) I was steered to the west side of Highway 1. And that was great advice. We loved the house we rented, the views and window seats were fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. The electric grill took a little getting used to but worked fine(I don't think Sea Ranch allows charcoal grills). The check in and check out were very efficient.
