This early Sea Ranch home has a fully equipped kitchen, raised wood stove, great view windows, flat screen television, free wireless internet, all while still preserving the original feel of the home. Located in one of the lowest wind lots, this home is very private backing to the common area, and providing wonderful ocean views to the south and west. There are two king beds and a queen sofa bed in the den. Two and one half baths assure no wait. Hot Tub also available. Weber gas BBQ. Bed linens and towels are NOT provided, bring your own or rent them from Beach Rentals.

  We spent a week at this well-equipped home with all amenities. The view from the porch is the star of the property, where we spent most of our time. There are walking/hiking trails easily accessible from the property. Grocery stores, Farmers Market and restaurants are all close. We took a day trip to Mendocino to enjoy the galleries and shops. The staff at the Rental Office was available and helpful. We are looking forward to our next stay at this property.

  We love this house! We’ve stayed at a few over the years and this is our favorite. We now have a toddler and it’s a great house if you do have kids. The deck and fenced in yard is perfect for playing, watching quail, deer, hawks, etc. kitchen has everything you need!   This was a return visit. We love this house, especially the private location, stunning ocean views and pleasant hot tub patio. The kitchen is very well stocked and easily accommodates a family dinner. Suggest adding a deck umbrella or two, upgrading the bed linens and sleeping pillows, and replacing the sofa bed. Otherwise, perfection!

    Beach Rentals and the homeowner want to thank the renter for their review and comments regarding the house. The homeowner is always looking for a way to make the house better for renters. Unfortunately we will never be putting in deck umbrella's. They would be nice, but the wind right here would blow the umbrellas away and possibly into the windows of the house. They also want you to know that there is a foam pad to put over the mattress on the sofa bed in the guest bedroom closet. This makes this sofa bed very comfortable. They recently purchased and installed new sleeping pillows in the house. The Amoretto home has never been a linen and towels house. Any linens you found in the house have now been locked up.   This house is just wonderful for location, amenities, and distance from the Surf Super! We spent a week here enjoying the view from the deck and the walks to the ocean and seal playgrounds. Pebble Beach where there are many seals is about a 40 minute walk along the ocean. We have stayed in many, many houses over the years, but this one is our clear favorite.

  Every room except the bathrooms had a full ocean view. The management company was professional and very helpful in meeting our specific needs (one level, no stairs leading up to house).   This house, one of the older in the community, works really well for us. It has been nicely updated, the sight line is currently excellent, and it's proximate to a trail to the coast (rocky, but stark and beautiful). It can get quite hot towards the afternoon in summers but cools very rapidly. Very workable kitchen, and furniture is comfortable and thoughtfully placed.

Entered home to find a lovely bottle of Chardonnay waiting and all the window coverings raised to show off the amazing view - loved the layout, with the large seating area, dining and kitchen all open to each other - the front bathroom shower is a real WOW! Nice big bedrooms, king size beds very comfortable - If I have any thing to suggest, it would be that those of us that are coffee dependent in the morning would appreciate some nice big mugs, without all the chips around the rims - great location, just minutes from Gualala - had a wonderful stay!

    Thanks for staying at the Amoretto House during your recent visit to The Sea Ranch. My wife and I are partners in ownership of the home and we make every effort to provide a clean, comfortable, and well equipped home away from home for our guests. Unfortunately we fell short in that the hot water valve was not functioning correctly in one of the showers during your stay. The shower had just been completely renovated the week prior to your stay, including new plumbing, and the contractor apparently neglected to adequately tighten an adjustment screw in the new valve. As soon as we were made aware of the problem, it was immediately corrected. We encourage you to notify the management office of anything in your future stays that is problematic. They do an excellent job of managing the property and have the capability of having issues like this resolved right away rather than waiting for your departure.

Amoretto provided everything we needed - easy location less than .5 mile walk to the beach (Stengel), great views, an idyllicly-set deck with Adirondack charis, beautiful updated kitchen, comfortable beds, a perfect picture window, and a great layout for a family of 5. Deana at the office could not have been more helpful or friendly. We also really enjoyed tennis and swimming at the Del Mar club! When we return, we hope to request this house again.

  Sea Ranch is a wonderful place to visit and Amoretto is the perfect place to stay for your visit. The house is extremely comfortable, very open and warm and perfectly situated for nice, long walks to various spots along the coast. The views are magnificent and unobstructed.   We had a lovely stay over the Christmas holiday with 1 couple, 1 child and 1 grandma. The house is comfortable and has the best view in Sea Ranch. We saw whales and sea lions from the windows, and enjoyed the bird life, visiting deer, and the view of the ocean from the deck every day.
  
  The house has a nice outdoor grill and well-equipped kitchen, so we enjoyed making great meals all week.
  
  While we would definitely stay there again, we do have 2 constructive suggestions:
  
  1. The new, good-sized hottub is only 110watt so you have to be careful about keeping it covered between uses and loses temperature pretty fast when you're in it for an extended period of time. This wasn't a huge deal but did have an impact on our spontaneity.
  
  2. There are 2 sitting areas in the house. The front living room is wonderful (with a great view, wood burning stove, and delightfully, no TV). When you do want to watch a movie, the TV is in a small room/walkthrough space with a cramped couch. I would suggest that the owners invest in a newer sectional sleeper in the TV room. Obviously if you're at Sea Ranch you're there for the outdoors and relaxation more than TV, but our family of 4 found it crowded for watching a movie together. If you wanted to have 2 people stretched out on the couch at the same time, forget it!
  
  Neither of these would stop us from returning--and this is a really delightful house overall. It would just be even better if these details were upgraded.

  Amoretto is located in a private part of sea Ranch, with the woodsy Commons on one side and sweeping views of the sea. Flowers were blooming around the deck drawing hummingbirds. Every room has views of the sky and sea, and we enjoyed time on the large, comfortable deck, and in the living area, which has a particular inviting view. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed, and furnishings were all up-to-date, clean, and attractive. We loved our visit and will be back.

  What a beautiful home in a prime location! My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. Not only did it have a beautiful view of the ocean, but also a pretty meadow in the back of the property. If you want peaceful and relaxing with all the modern conveniences- this is the place for you! It was very clean, cozy, and had lots of nice touches for decoration. A home away from home! They thought of everything- and there is very little you have to bring from home. Just a short drive from Gualala and the Shell Beach access. If you can go a little farther north to Point Arena, I recommend the restaurant- "Chowder House and Tap Room." Good food and a gorgeous view! I also commend the staff at the Sea Ranch rentals- they were very friendly and helpful. :) We will be back!

Location is short drive from Gualala and an excellent bakery on Annapolis in opposite direction. House has excellent views from all rooms except (bathrooms).   We had amazing weather in mid-October during our six night stay at Amoretto. Warm, but not too warm. And the clearest night skies for star gazing. The house is a wonder. Best seaside cottage I've been to. Superb ocean views (and breezes) plus it's located also next to a meadow for excellent critter-viewing (we had three deer come up to the house, plus an endless parade of dive-bombing hummingbirds). It was the best of all worlds. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the Weber gas grill on the deck is a breeze to use, so all you need is food and wine from the excellent Surf supermarket in Gualala (or from the Berkeley Bowl if you're driving up from the Bay area) and you'll be feasting every day and night. We will definitely return!

  We chose Amoretto because it's all one level and we didn't want to worry about our 15-mo-old and stairs. We brought outlet plugs and other baby-proofing stuff, and moved breakables and cords out of the way. The layout has the rooms in the back and a sliding wooden door to separate the common area from the rooms. Awesome during naptime.
  We like to cook, so the new kitchen was great. We found everything we needed and everything was good quality. The glasses and bottle of wine right as we walked in made for a very warm feeling.
  The wireless internet router's range could be improved by putting it up closer to the ceiling instead of down on the floor. Never had it fail, but a couple of times the wifi got down to one bar and got slow.
  We couldn't tell if there was a recycling bin in the trash area, it might help to label it better. We ended up taking our recyclables with us and disposing of them elsewhere.
  A ceiling fan in the common area would be nice; we had good cross breezes most of the time with the windows open, but between breezes a little more air movement would help.
