  Dacha didn't disappoint. In fact, it exceeded our expectations -- which were high based on the rental listing. The open layout was ideal for my husband and I, who cooked each night and watched the sunset, while a family of deer played right in our backyard. Simple, beautiful decor. Perfectly functional kitchen. We had everything we needed. Easy access to trails, and the two main Rec centers/pools are walkable (less than 2 miles). FYI, there is no BBQ, but the stovetop grill did the job for us. Place is probably too small for a family, but perfect for a couple. Would love to stay here again!

  Once again we had a lovely relaxing time at Sea Ranch. Each year we try to rent in a different location and/or house which allows us to have a slightly different experience. This year we rented Dacha - a one bedroom house which worked for the two of us. We were pleased with our choice.
  We couldn't have been more pleased with the property management staff. They handled everything for us - answered all questions - had all of the information needed readily available for us upon checking in.
  During our visit we ate out more than we had in the past. - had breakfast at the reopened Gualala Hotel - great food and atmosphere. The owner stopped at each table to welcome and express appreciation for coming in.
  Trinks Cafe is another choice for good food, coffees and a great staff.
  This year we also had lunch at Cove Azul - impressive menu and view!
  Another favorite is Cove Azul Bar & Grill for lunch/ dinner - they have an impressive menu, great staff and view.

  It was a relaxing week in a nice setting. The house was clean and comfortable. Walking the paths around the bluffs was invigorating. We ate at the Lodge a couple times. Good food nice setting. I like how you just pop into Hi 1 and get to the pool areas where we swam a few times. There’s 2-3 pools. The Hot Spot was beautiful set in a redwood forest at the Guala river. The Temple near the Dacha house, was nice for meditations. Slipping into Gualala for meals was convenient.

  My honey and I and our dog really enjoyed our stay at Dacha. The views are gorgeous. Easy access to trails and the beach. The house is perfect for 2 plus a dog. Hot tub great! There were a couple simple things that would have made our stay more pleasant: Racks and hooks in the full bath for towels, robes etc. And it would be helpful if the kitchen were set up with an empty cabinet for food. There were warnings not to leave food on counters due to raccoons, but I had to rearrange cabinets as there was no place to store food.

  The Dacha is my go to home in Sea Ranch. The location is excellent because it is close to the Walk On Beach but the home also offers a 190 degree view of the ocean, even from the bed.
  My choc lab loves this home and practically lives out in the fenced yard catching some sun rays. The hummingbird continues to enjoy the flowers in the yard, which were in bloom this trip. The fox 🦊 made one appearance on the first day. This year the deer 🦌 in the back were limited. It seems that the bushes they liked to sleep under that are a few houses down, were cut down. So only a few grazers this year. The house was very clean and the bed very comfortable! See you in a few months!!

  This home was comfortable and clean with everything we needed for our stay. The check in process was easy and helpful, the kitchen was well stocked, and the spa was well maintained and clean. We saw deer, a wide variety of birds and even a breaching whale from the spa deck! Access to the bluff hiking trail is a few steps away but we never felt any sense of intrusion from hikers accessing the trail or from neighbors. A beautiful and peaceful vacation spot.

  I've been here several times, first with one dog and now with two little dogs. It's the perfect house for us. I work very hard back home and need time away to just do "nothing." The kitchen is perfect for cooking my own healthy food. The fenced yard is perfect for the dogs. The house is spotless and easy to keep clean during my stay.   This was our first time renting a house at Sea Ranch. The Sea Ranch Beach Rentals staff were very helpful and friendly. No issues checking in or out. The Dacha house was perfect size for two adults and one dog. The views from the house of the meadow and ocean are amazing and unobstructed. Natural light galore and with the windows open you can hear crashing waves all day/night long. Deer and one skunk grazed in the front yard throughout our stay.
  
  Very short distance to bluff trail where you can walk for miles in both directions. This house is also extremely close to Shell Beach. Neighbors are on both sides, but the house is very private. Hot tub and wood fire stove worked great. Kitchen is well-equipped but bring your own oils, spices, salt and pepper. The house was super clean and didn't smell of dog. Non-dog people would enjoy staying here. This house does need some updating. New furniture, new windows, updated bathroom would do wonders. Bed was extremely comfortable (used my own flannel sheets for November). Our little dog loved the fence enclosed back yard.

  We have been coming to Sea Ranch for many years and have tried a lot of different houses. With pets, the pickings are relatively slim, especially if you have favorite locations as we do. Dacha's location is great, gives nice views of the ocean and the sunset, and is located close to the coastal path and Shell Beach. It's a small house but perfect for us.   The home is in a key location, less than 5 min walk to walk on beach. The ocean view is 180 degrees and can be seen from open living room area and bedroom. The open concept is modern and there is limited clutter, making the home very peaceful and calm. The rental company is great, attentive, and conscientious of any road or driving conditions. The rental company also sends timely communication and reminders. The rental company was flexible in any changes, like I was allowed to bring my own linens. The home was clean and well appointed with kitchen appliances and utinsels. The great surprise was the dog bed! I mean if u don't want the dog on furniture, provide the dog with his own bed!!! Perfect welcome note to my dog with a big towel an leash an biscuit!!!thanks for realizing my dog is family! The location of the home boasts of an in resident hummingbird that is not shy drinking the nectar all day while u sit and watch. The local deer freeway also runs behind the house! Of course not to mention the neighborhood fox that likes to take daily walks. The hot tub is oceanview and star gazing view! I couldn't have been happier!

  Great view, clean, comfy house for the two of us and our dog. Nice doggy bed that our pup snuggled right in to. The bed is comfy, nice big King. The enclosed yard worked well for letting our pooch ramble safely while we unloaded and later loaded the car. There is a fabulous beach close by that is foggy heaven. The rental office was very friendly and helpful our only complaints were the insulation of the house is poor and the furnace old and noisy. It was very cold that week. And the kitchen's electric stove and limited counter space made it hard to cook (we were there for thanksgiving).

  We stayed here for 5 nights in September and had a wonderful time. Perfect location, wonderful view and well equipped home. Our dog loved it.
  
  Yes there were ants but that is the norm for CA and the ant traps worked fine. The home was otherwise immaculate and well cared for. It was nice to have a garage so the car was easier to unload. This is the one of the few places we have stayed that the pictures look like the real thing. We just need to figure out when we can return. It was perfect for us.

  Dacha House was very close to the ocean front with great uninterrupted views of the water from every angle and a lovely meadow with a family of deer that spent the morning and afternoon grazing there. Although only a 1 bedroom, I never felt cramped or confined. I came to decompress from a very busy summer and I got what I came for... beautiful wildlife, stunning views and some time to feed my soul in a very comfortable private lodging.

  We had a wonderful time! This is the perfect Sea Ranch rental for two. We brought our 2 English Labs who also had a great time. Access to the bluff trail is very close - there are sweeping views of the ocean from every room - the skylights bring in great light by day, and star views by night! The fenced in garden was perfect for our pups. We've stayed in many vavation rentals, but this was defnitely the best yet.

An unobstructed coastal view, easy access to walking and riding trails, pet friendly home, fantastic layout, great kitchen, and a great sunset deck can all be found in one place.

  The house was just the right size - perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. The layout of the home on the lot maximized the privacy. You felt like no one was around you. The house had a great floorplan, and a wonderful hot tub. They were very dog friendly, with paw towel and treat for the dog! Shell Beach was just a 5 minute walk away.   3 nights wasn't long enough; we didn't want to leave. The property and the Sea Ranch give you a sense of isolation. The view from the house is beautiful. Master bedroom and views are great, as was the hot tub. We utilized the fenced side yard for our rehabbing from surgery dog - perfect. 3 nights/days wasn't enough for us to utilize any of the facilities, as we spent our "free" time discovering Sea Ranch and the environs. We're going to try to do this again ASAP.

  The location and orientation of this house is truly amazing. For a meadow home, it has an amazing ocean view. I loved the proximity to the trails and having access to a garage was very nice. The kitchen and bathrooms were nice and clean but could use a bit of updating. The dishes and cookware could also be upgraded. However I really enjoyed the overall layout, open concept, and nice furniture. Also the wifi was the best of any house I've rented at Sea Ranch. The rental company was very pleasant to work with.

  Three nights at The Dacha House was our best rental experience ever. The house is an unusual creation from an inventive architect that has a comfortable layout, views of the ocean from every room and a feature hot tub in the center of it all. The owners provide way more than we expected, washer/dryer, bar-b-q,dishes,wine openers, WiFi etc. We didn't want for anything. The location is superb. Close to the ocean and hiking trails and one of my favorites is the two-car garage that the owners allow you to use. Our car was protected from the salt air and out of the sun. This was our best minivacation ever!

  My husband and I came here for a 3 day little get away and we loved it. The house is well situated for enjoying gorgeous bluff walks. It's an easy jaunt to the gorgeous shell beach. The deer love the meadow in front of the house so we were always viewing a couple or an entire family grazing. If you go on a full moon, the light of the moon will beam through the skylights in the middle of the night. The hot tub is also far enough away from neighbors that it still feels private. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. This is also a great place to enjoy sites on the other side of th freeway. It's just a quick ride over to the very special fairy chapel, and down the road to the right, we would recommend 2 Fish Bakery. Wonderful place for tea and coffee with some delicious treats. Then, right nearby is a place called The Hot Spot, which was an utterly enchanting walk through the forest. Its located on your map. Dacha House was a wonderful little gem that was comfortable and beautiful. We highly recommend it! The only suggestion I have for th owners, is that it would be great to put up some clothing hooks by the front door, by the hot tub, and in the bathroom. Would just make it that much more easy to enjoy. Thanks again we will be coming back!

  I have stayed at Dacha several times, and this time I was there for e weeks! Love the view across the meadow to the ocean. LOVE the new flower garden. Love the fenced area for doggie potty breaks! Décor is plesasnt (the house could use some fresh paint and some wall art), bed is comfortable, sheets and towels are provided, coffee maker is first-class (so many rentals have flat-bottomed Mr. Coffee brewing machines). Will definitely go back.

  the dacha was exceptional a beautiful view of the Pacific from every room in the house. the sky light in the bedroom was very romantic. It was great waking up to deer in the yard and the fact that i could see them from bed made it better. the kitchen and appliances were current, functional and very handy.   We had a wonderful long weekend at Dacha House. The house and setting are beautiful. The location is perfect. The bluff path is right out the door, so it's an easy walk to multiple beaches. We were able to hike, ride bikes, and explore. The hot tub was wonderful for chilly nights, especially when the deer came by to hang out. I highly recommend staying at Dacha. We are already planning our next trip.

  Beautiful contemporary 1 bd rm with functional floor plan and beautiful meadow and sea views. WiFi and Satellite TV worked well. Loved access to the garage for vehicle and storing bicycles. Kitchen is functional with high-end appliances - range (with grill), dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker (maybe bring your own knives and salad spinner and other accessories if you love to cook). Very nice mattress on king bed and new - washer/dryer. Sea views from deck/hot tub were fantastic. Nice enclosure for dog out back door (deck enclosed also good for dog). First time in Sea Ranch and loved it...hiking, walking trails, beaches...perfect weather...can't ask for more!

  We really enjoyed our first visit to Sea Ranch, and the Dacha house. The house is well maintained, clean and quite charming. The pictures here don't do it justice. The fenced in yard area was perfect for letting out our dog. I would note that the house has wifi internet, which the description does not include.
