Ocean Sunset Unit 28 Lot 105; TOT ID# 1631. The Ocean Sunset house at the Sea Ranch offered by Beach Rentals is in the desirable Sea Ranch ocean meadow area and is just a five minute walk to the popular Walk On Beach.

An elevated family room provides an open living area with wall to wall windows offering expansive blue water ocean views and breathtaking sunsets. There is lots of seating space and a wood burning stove with wood provided to keep the area cozy and warm.

The dining area features a dining table to seat eight. It connects to a large updated kitchen with all modern appliances including a premier gas range that will let you prepare the ultimate beach feast.

Ocean Sunset accommodates up to eight guests comfortably. The master and guest bedrooms have king beds. The third room has a queen bed plus another queen sized sleeper sofa. All rooms are spacious and contain closets and dressers with plenty of storage.

The house offers premium features and modern amenities such as hot tub, master walk in closet, central heating, charcoal grill, quartz countertops, and three flat screen HDTV's with DirectTV. Ocean Sunset has a direct fiberoptic connection to the Sea Ranch Connect internet service. Sea Ranch Connect offers super fast wireless wifi to enable unlimited video and music streaming to any number of your devices. The hot tub sits on a deck with direct access to the living room and two bedrooms. A laundry room is available with a washer and dryer.

The rental comes with guest passes to all the Sea Ranch hiking trails, recreation centers, swimming pools, kids parks, and tennis courts. The area also boasts other attractions nearby such as golf, canoe and kayak rentals, horseback riding, and of course, lots of beaches. Guests that previously rented this house under the name of Pelican or Osprey Landing won't recognize it due to remodeling completed top to bottom in every room. Bed linens and towels are included with this rental. You can also have a 3 night minimum in this house but will need to call the office to place a booking.

  Ocen sunset was very nice home, great design warm fires and hot tub was nice. Kitchen was well stocked and clean. There were a couple safety items. Master bedroom at end of hall has a running toilet that was annoying. And wall plug under TV was very loose. The blankets were clean but old with edging coming undone. They were not warm enough for November Temps. We had to use 3. The master bath had mold at floor by tub, corners dirty and door stained woth holes in backside. Bathrooms need deep clean. For going green this home needs new water efficient toilets. We would stay again if it was in better shape. Lovely home. Just needs some detailed care and upgrade to toilets.

    Thank you very much for your stay and feedback! It looks like there might have been a little miss in the prep before your stay and hope you give us another try. As you can see from the dozens of reviews since we've rented the house the last eight years, most of our business are repeat guests and our cleanliness rating has been consistently a solid five stars. Our property manager Beach Rentals is known for cleaning most thoroughly in town in between stays as well as periodic deep cleaning on the entire house. We do remember there was a toilet around your stay that needed a new valve that has been replaced. There was never mold in the bathrooms but perhaps we missed cleaning a stain before your stay. You're right it gets chilly in Sea Ranch, which some people love. We'll find the blanket with edging coming undone and replace it. To other readers considering the house and reading these comments, we want to also mention that the house has central heating to every room with a smart thermometer as well as a wood stove. There is no need to ever be cold in the Ocean Sunset House!

  Spent an entire month a Ocean Sunset. This house is great for our family. The kitchen and dining room are large and worked well for the 7 of us. The raised area with large windows was perfect for viewing the ocean and watching the storm. The only minor negatives were lots of stairs and the charcoal barbeque (not a gas barbeque). Overall, this is best for us. So much so that we rented it again for next year. This will be our 3rd visit to Ocean Sunset.

  Although we were supposed to spend our spring break in Hawaii, this year of course it was a no-go - - - but actually, I am so glad we came to Sea Ranch instead. The Ocean Sunset house was impeccably clean, the location is incredibly desirable since it's a 5 minute walk to a quiet beach, and we were also pleasantly surprised by all of the kitchen appliances/materials left by the home-owners. It all made our stay that much more enjoyable. We will most definitely be staying here again with my parents (we came with our two young kiddos, both under 6 years), and the home was a perfect layout for our extended family. Looking up into the clear night sky full of stars while lounging in the hot tub was the perfect treat after a dinner with the kids. All in all, Ocean Sunset was the ideal location for our family spring break trip, and we can't wait to come back again!

  We spend a week at Ocean Sunset in August with our two teenage sons and our dog. We walked the trail along the beach at several locations, loved the sunsets that you can see from the livving room windows, and did one night of star viewing. Most nights were hazy though due to the fog moving in. The houses are spaciously placed in a very calm and serene setting. It was a great way to reenergize. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen really well stocked with all you need for cooking and more, which was a great surprise. Wifi was strong enough for us to log in and work.

  The house was comfortable and very well located. Only a 10 minute walk to Walk-On-Beach. The main deck is small and has many different steps. The small (4 person) hot tub was hard to get into and out of at night without significant lights.
  
  The kitchen is a good size but does not come with Tupperware, foil/plastic wrap, cloth napkins, and we were only given only 1 roll of paper towels. The knives were very full so if you like to cook bring your own!
  
  The bedrooms were comfortable but the two toilets are old, not standard height, and clogged easily.
  The house was “clean” but we still found significant dog hair on the sofa bed pillows and throughout the seating in the living room. For the amount we paid ($250 cleaning + $50/dog) we would have expected to find no dog hair anywhere.

    Thank you for review of the Ocean Sunset home. It is always helpful when a renter lets us know about their experiences. We try to provide the home with all supplies needed for a comfortable stay in the Sea Ranch. Though many others reviews here have reported this kitchen as very well stocked, we understand that your expectations included foil/plastic wrap and cloth napkins. We will take that into consideration. We will also have the knives sharpened or replaced if needed. We apologize for the cleaning. Beach Rentals has a high standard of cleaning, especially for pet friendly homes. Again, most other reviews indicate exceptional cleaning, but perhaps there was a miss before your stay. We will make sure that our housekeeping staff has been informed of the pet hair within the house. The house does not have a history of toilet clogs, but we will check on that as well.   We had a lovely stay at Ocean Sunset. The layout of the house is perfect for multiple generations. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfortable.   We spent three nights and four days at Ocean asunder and loved it it. The house was very clean (almost too clean - it needed to be aired out to get rid of the lemon pledge smell) and very well appointed. The master bed was super comfortable and we spent our mornings lounging in the raised living room watching deer and other wildlife. The hot tub was perfect for evening soaks and the dining room table was ideal for family meals.
  The ladies in the office were very helpful and accommodating, during both check in and check out.

  We have stayed with our daughter/husband and grandchildren for three years at this lovely home for a week or so each summer. We wish it could be for 2 weeks, but jobs won't allow it. The house is just perfect for us. It is immaculate and well stocked. Three large bedrooms, two baths, a lovely deck with hot tub, great, big kitchen and nice living area. Also, wonderful location if you want to go to Walk On or One Eyed Jacks. The only features you should be aware of is the large number of steps to get into the house very hard for our old dog). And, the kitchen cabinets are starting to show some wear. Otherwise A+.

  This is the third time we have rented this house for ourselves and our daughter's family. It is wonderful: Very well stocked kitchen that is big and easy for two cooks to operate in, comfortable beds for adults (K) and for children. Allows dogs and the tile floor is ideal for that. The layout is great for our group. The deck is okay but not up to the interior of this lovely home. The house was in good order and seemed clean when we came in though sine wastebaskets weren't dumped from the last renters and I found crackers in the sofa when I was looking for a pen I dropped. These were minor issues though. We would stay here again in a minute.

  This house is awesome. A less than 5 minute walk to the beach (about 1-2 minutes on a skateboard). You can hear and see the waves from the house. Kitchen is fully stocked. My family of four along with another family of four stayed here. There was PLENTY of room. Wifi and TV's worked great. Close to surf as well. Surfed Point Arena one day and had a blast. The house was clean and well organized. We loved the "sun room" above the dining area. It was warmed by the sun and had great views. The people at the property management company were very friendly as well. The owner of the property even hooked us up by ordering (and paying for!!) a UFC fight that we wanted to watch. Very, very thoughtful gesture---huge thanks for that! The street out front was very low traffic--barely saw any cars. Kids (7, 7, 9, and 9) all skated, rode bikes, and played out front and in the huge back yard. This is our second time staying at Ocean Sunset and we will be back for sure. Thanks for providing us with this opportunity to stay at such a wonderful house.

  This house was nearly ideal for us, me and my husband, my daughter and her husband and two boys. Plenty of beds! Also, the kitchen is big and light, and well equipped.
  
  We had two slight problems--the French doors wouldn't latch shut and blew open in the ever present Sea Ranch wind, and the shades in the living room are inadequate. They let in way too much light to watch a movie, even at 7:30. The master also has a skylight that allows too much light in at 6:00 am.

  We decided to plan a weekend with 2 other couples at Sea Ranch. We certainly lucked out to secure time at the Ocean Sunset home. The home looks better than the pictures on this site. The living room area has a great view of the ocean with plenty of couch space to really relax. It is tastefully decorated. The hot tube was great. The kitchen was easy to work in and well supplied. I was able to take my medium sized well behaved dog on this trip since the owners allow dogs. THANK YOU! There is plenty of hiking along the beautiful Sonoma Coast. The community pools with saunas are beautiful and not crowded at all. The area is quiet so if you are looking for a real get a way in a super nice house, go to Sea Ranch and stay at the Ocean Sunset home.

  We had a wonderful time at Ocean Sunset. Okay, didn't like the windy road to get there, but once there it was worth it. We drove into Gualala to receive the house keys and information by two extremely pleasant gals. We were impressed with the house we chose. Great location, viewing of the ocean and wildlife, comfortable furniture and beds. Great sitting area for wine and viewing which is why I chose this house. It was also perfectly clean and the kitchen was lovely and well stocked for the cook. I didn't cook, but can recommend Trinks for coffee and lunch. The Surf Market and Deli was great. We walked to the coast every day and saw the most beautiful vistas. Dramatic rugged coastlines from bluffs and then beaches that you could easily walk down to. Sea Ranch is maintained beautifully and wonderfully peaceful. There are many homes to rent in Sea Ranch, but we were looking for one with an ocean view and that was dog friendly. We hit the jackpot. The only complaint, but wasn't an issue for us is that the house could use a little maintenance on some of the windows and doors to work properly. Other than that - Perfect!   What a beautiful home. The kitchen was stocked as if it were your own home. Im a cook and wasnt sure so brought alot of my knnifes and a few pans...Never needed them. The bed in the Master was so comfortable.
  My only criticism is that the hot tub was over chlorinated. We own a hot tub so Im more aware but you had to shower after because the smell was so strong. I do understand though that it is more "public", but I couldn't go in.

From the fully stocked kitchen (mixers, food processors, utinsels measuring cups even spices!), towels everything you could think of was stocked in this house. But the best thing was the location! You have to experience Sea Ranch to fully appreciate it and this home is an ideal place to do just that. Our children and grandchildren were so sad when we had to leave.   Perfect stay. Exactly as described, totally clean and wonderful. Great for kids, plenty of room. The Sea Ranch is really quiet, and the open hot tub allowed for many nights finding shooting stars, satellites, and planets in the clear night sky. Really quality appliances and a well-appointed kitchen made cooking every meal easy. It's clear that Beach Rentals really manages their property well. We worried a little about keeping track of the passes, but it didn't end up being an issue. Overall it was a flawless vacation rental and it's easy to see why this place was well-rated.
